The story behind the boxes - Three Moons
Our packaging tells stories, some of which have been told for centuries. Tales from the land and folklore, of goddesses, animals and plants. They are each themed and unique to reflect the product within.
Each carton has been individually designed by Fez Inkwright a Bristol-based illustrator in collaboration with KELSEY. Fez’s main focus lies in conservation, folklore and ethnobotanical themes. This is the study of how people of a particular culture and region make use of native plants.
Our feature for June is Three Moons Brightening Concentrate. We’ve chosen this one to celebrate the summer solstice and the shortest night of the year and did you know this month we also witnessed a strawberry moon, not quite raspberry, but we’re in the right area at least!

The product name Three Moons was created to give the idea of illumination and brightness, not just one moon but three.
On the front of our box, there are three moons depicted, inspired by the Triple Aspect. The three phases of the moon, represent feminine power – the maiden, the mother and the crone. It also represents the threefold goddess of night and womanhood, Hecate. Her magic symbolising the other-worldly glow of our Three Moons Brightening Concentrate.

The creatures drawn on the side of the packaging are also links to Hecate, we have a polecat and a hunting hound. These wild animals, depict the importance of conservation in Britain and an alliance between nature and the modern world.
